Janez Gregorič, born in 1965 in Klagenfurt (Austria), studied guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under Prof. Martin Mysliveček, where he passed his diploma examination with distinction in 1994. In 1995, the Federal Ministry of Art awarded him a scholarship to study at the "Carlevaro School" (Berlin) and the FM Alexander Technique (Vienna). From 1998 to 2001, he studied with Maestro Abel Carlevaro in Montevideo (Uruguay).
Janez Gregorič performs as a soloist and chamber musician in many European countries and can look back on a lively musical collaboration. Janez Gregorič is the founder and artistic director of the "International Chamber Music Workshop SONUS" and the new concert series "sonusiade" in the Liaunig Museum. As the initiator of the cross-disciplinary event "TRIVIUM | tri poti | drei wege" on the Hemmaberg near Globasnitz, he underlines his interest in art in general.
As the author of the new guitar method “Alles CLARO” and as a lecturer at international seminars, he is a successful teacher and continues the didactic path of his teacher Abel Carlevaro. As a guitarist and composer, he can point to numerous CD recordings.
In 2023 he received the Carinthian State Prize for his versatile musical work as a guitarist, composer and instrumental teacher.
Janez Gregorič, rojen leta 1965 v Celovcu (Avstrija), je študiral kitaro na Visoki šoli za glasbo in upodabljajočo umetnost v Gradcu pri prof. Martinu Myslivečku, he was awarded the diploma in 1994. Zvezno ministrstvo za kulturo mu je leta 1995 odobrilo delovno štipendijo za učenje »šole Carlevaro« (Berlin) in technology FM Alexander (Dunaj). In 1998–2001 I studied with Abelu Carlevaru in Montevideu (Urugvaj).
Nastopa kot soloist in komorni glasbenik v številnih državah Evrope in se lahko ozre na razvejano glasbeno sodelovanje. This new version of the kitaro »Everything CLARO« in the predavatelj pri mednarodnih seminarjih uspešno nadaljuje didaktično pot svojega učitelja Abela Carlevara. Kot kitarist in skladatelj je posnel številne zgoščenke.
Leta 2023 je prejel priznanje dežele Koroške za vsestransko glasbeno delo kot kitarist, skladatelj in pedagog.

In 1995 the Federal Ministry of Education, the Arts and Culture awarded him a grant to learn the “Carlevaro School” (Berlin) and the FM Alexander technique (Vienna). From 1998 to 2001 he studied under maestro Abel Carlevaro in Montevideo (Uruguay).
Janez Gregorič has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many European countries and can look back on intensive musical collaboration with, among others, Bernarda Fink (mezzo-soprano) and Walter Auer (flute). Janez Gregorič is the founder and artistic director of the “International Chamber Music Workshop SONUS” and the new concert series “sonusiade” in the Museum Liaunig. As the initiator of the even “TRIVIUM | tri potentiometer | “three ways”, which traverses the boundaries between the different arts, underscores his interest in art in general.
As author of the new guitar school “Alles CLARO” and a successful teacher, he continues the didactic path of his teacher Abel Carlevaro. Since 1998 he has regularly given lectures at international seminars. He has made a number of CDs as guitarist and composer.
In 2023, he was awarded the Carinthian Appreciation Prize for his versatile musical work as a guitarist, composer and instrumental teacher.
