ACADEMIC CAREER
Mira Gregorič discovered her passion for music at a young age. Born in Carinthia/Koroška, she began violin lessons at the age of four at the "Glasbena šola na Koroškem / Carinthian Music School". She continued her musical training at the Carinthian State Conservatory under the tutelage of Prof. Helfried Fister.

CONTINUING EDUCATION AND MASTER'S DEGREE
During her studies, she expanded her skills through the "Improvisation in String Teaching" course at the Anton Bruckner Private University. In 2021, Mira completed her Master's degree in Instrumental Pedagogy, specializing in Jazz and Improvised Music – Violin, under Prof. Andreas Schreiber at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz. In addition, she received workshop-based instruction in jazz violin from renowned instructors such as Bernie Mallinger, Oriol Saña, Peter Herbert and Andreas Schreiber.
ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES
As a versatile musician and composer, Mira Gregorič is active in numerous ensembles, including Duo Sonoma, Hidden Surface, Bianca Ortner with GruberGregorič, Trio Gregorič, GMC, the Pia Denz Octet, and others. She is also active in the pop music scene and has toured with the Austrian band folkshilfe, among others. With Duo Sonoma, she released her debut album, "DUO SONOMA I," in 2021, followed by "II" in July 2024. The duo was accepted into the New Austrian Sound of Music (NASOM) funding program in 2025/2026 and received the Carinthian State Prize for Music in 2024.
In addition to her work as a musician, Mira is also involved in performing arts. She has participated in projects such as "Evolving Creatures," created the short film "UNSHACKLED EPISODES" with dancer Mirjam Sadjak in 2020, works as a musician in productions at the Burgtheater Vienna, and composed music for a theater production at Next Liberty Graz for the first time in 2025.
Her artistic work was supported in 2022 by the BMKOES Starter Scholarship for Music, which enabled the realization of the interdisciplinary performance "reversed refill" (world premiere 2023, with Vincenzo Gatta and Mirjam Sadjak). Furthermore, Mira is active as an educator in the children's concert series "A House Full of Music" at the Brucknerhaus Linz.
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Mira Gregorič has been working as a violin teacher for several years and taught elementary music education at the KinderMusikGruppe in Vienna until June 2025. She also works in the field of rhythmics with various age groups and held a teaching position at the Friedrich Gulda School of Music Vienna from autumn 2020 to June 2025. She regularly leads school projects in Austria, introducing music to schools using innovative approaches. Since 2022, she has also been active in professional development, aiming to familiarize teachers with the diverse facets of music.
In addition to her artistic and educational activities, Mira Gregorič is currently working on a children's songbook based on unconventional keys, aimed at families and educational institutions.
