HALM is a four-person jazz/avant-garde pop ensemble that explores sound worlds across genre boundaries.

With a 5-string electric violin, double bass, drums, voice and various effects devices on all instruments, HALM creates a musical playground with unconventional facets of sound possibilities. Loops, rhythmic patterns and melodies create a diverging dynamic that oscillates between tension and calm.

The four musicians listen to each other and with each other, creating songs that are always open to improvisation and change. The songs are about the many complicated corners of human relationships. About admitting mistakes and forgiving, and last but not least, about the (inner) search for serenity and calm. Finding this in life may ultimately be impossible, but in music it can exist, for a fraction of a moment.

HALM allows you to sip a little.
