Janez Gregorič, geb. 1965 in Klagenfurt (Österreich), studierte Gitarre an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz bei Prof. Martin Mysliveček, wo er 1994 seine Diplomprüfung mit ausgezeichnetem Erfolg ablegte. Das Bundesministerium für Kunst gewährte ihm 1995 ein Arbeitsstipendium zum Erlernen der „Carlevaro-Schule“ (Berlin) und der F.M. Alexander-Technik (Wien). In den Jahren 1998 bis 2001 studierte er bei Maestro Abel Carlevaro in Montevideo (Uruguay).
Janez Gregorič tritt als Solist und Kammermusiker in vielen Ländern Europas auf und kann auf eine rege musikalische Zusammenarbeit zurückblicken. Janez Gregorič ist Gründer und künstlerischer Leiter der „Internationalen Kammermusikwerkstatt SONUS“ und der neuen Konzertreihe „sonusiade“ im Museum Liaunig. Als Initiator der spartenübergreifenden Veranstaltung „TRIVIUM | tri poti | drei wege“ auf dem Hemmaberg bei Globasnitz unterstreicht sein Interesse an der Kunst allgemein.
Als Autor der neuen Gitarrenschule „Alles CLARO“ und als Vortragender bei internationalen Seminaren setzt er als erfolgreicher Pädagoge den didaktischen Weg seines Lehrers Abel Carlevaro fort. Als Gitarrist und Komponist kann er auf etliche CD-Aufnahmen verweisen.

Janez Gregorič, rojen leta 1965 v Celovcu (Avstrija), je študiral kitaro na Visoki šoli za glasbo in upodabljajočo umetnost v Gradcu pri prof. Martinu Myslivečku, kjer je leta 1994 opravil diplomski izpit z odličnim uspehom. Zvezno ministrstvo za kulturo mu je leta 1995 odobrilo delovno štipendijo za učenje »šole Carlevaro« (Berlin) in tehnike F.M. Alexander (Dunaj). V letih 1998–2001 je študiral pri maestru Abelu Carlevaru v Montevideu (Urugvaj).
Nastopa kot solist in komorni glasbenik v številnih državah Evrope in se lahko ozre na razvejano glasbeno sodelovanje. Janez Gregorič je ustanovitelj in umetniški vodja »Mednarodne delavnice za komorno glasbo SONUS« in koncertnega cikla »sonusiada« v Muzeju Liaunig Neuhaus/Suha, ter pobudnik medpanožne prireditve »TRIVIUM | tri poti | drei wege« na gori sv. Heme pri Globasnici.
Kot avtor nove šole za kitaro »Alles CLARO« in kot predavatelj pri mednarodnih seminarjih uspešno nadaljuje didaktično pot svojega učitelja Abela Carlevara. Kot kitarist in skladatelj je posnel številne zgoščenke.
Janez Gregorič was born in 1965 in Klagenfurt (Austria) and studied guitar with Professor Martin Mysliveček at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, where he took his final examinations in 1994, graduating summa cum laude. In 1995 the Federal Ministry of Education, the Arts and Culture awarded him a grant to learn the “Carlevaro School” (Berlin) and the F.M. Alexander technique (Vienna). From 1998 to 2001 he studied under maestro Abel Carlevaro in Montevideo (Uruguay).
Janez Gregorič has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many European countries and can look back on intensive musical collaboration with, among others, Bernarda Fink (mezzo-soprano) and Walter Auer (flute). Janez Gregorič is the founder and artistic director of the “International Chamber Music Workshop SONUS” and the new concert series “sonusiade” in the Museum Liaunig. As the initiator of the even “TRIVIUM | tri poti | drei wege”, which traverses the boundaries between the different arts, underscores his interest in art in generel.
As author of the new guitar school “Alles CLARO” and a successful teacher, he continues the didactic path of his teacher Abel Carlevaro. Since 1998 he has regularly given lectures at international seminars. He has made a number of CDs as guitarist and composer.
