DUO SONOMA I
„DUO SONOMA I“ ist unsere erste CD und Online-Produktion in der wir Schwestern, Mira und Sara Gregorič, als Formation Duo Sonoma die bis jetzt erarbeiteten Eigenkompositionen aufgenommen haben.Von klein auf musizieren wir gemeinsam und da das bereits vorhandene Repertoire für diese Formation nicht mehr unserer Persönlichkeit entsprochen hat, verspürten wir den Drang für uns passendes Musikmaterial zu komponieren. Unser besonderer musikalischer Zugang sorgte für Zuspruch im Zuhörerpublikum und die aufkommende Nachfrage nach einem Tonträger motivierte uns dieses Projekt anzugehen. Wir sind stehts offen für Neues und unsere Begeisterung spiegelt sich in verschiedenen Stilen wider, die sich des Öfteren an das Volksliedgut aus Kärnten bezieht und an unsere Wurzeln als Kärntner Sloweninnen anknüpft und thematisiert.
Unsere Musik ist eine Verbindung unterschiedlicher Musikgenres, die von Klassik über Tango und Jazz-Improvisation, volkstümlichen Melodien und bis hin zu neuer Musik beeinflusst wird.Geprägt durch persönliche Erlebnisse verspüren unsere Kompositionen ruhige Momente, die durch rhythmische Elemente aufgebrochen werden. So sind eine rhythmische Vielfältigkeit und das Erforschen neuer Klänge mit klassischen Instrumenten ein wichtiger Bestandteil unserer Kompositionen. Jedes Stück ist in seiner Art und Weise einzigartig und unverkennbar in seiner Struktur und steht im fließenden musikalischen Dialog.
"DUO SONOMA I" je najina prva zgoščenka in spletna produkcija, v kateri sva sestri Mira in Sara Gregorič kot formacija Duo Sonoma posneli lastne skladbe. Skupaj ustvarjava glasbeno že od malih nog in obstoječi repertoar ni več ustrezal najinim osebnosti, takp sva občutili željo, da bi sestavili primerno glasbo zase. Najin poseben glasbeni pristop je bil pri publiki zelo dobro sprejet in naraščajoče povpraševanje po posnetku naju je motiviralo, da sva se lotili tega projekta. Vedno sva odprti za novo in glasbeno sva aktivni v različnih stilih, ki se pogosto sklicujejo na koroške ljudske pesmi in se navezujejo na najine korenine koroških Slovencev.
Najina glasba je kombinacija različnih glasbenih zvrsti, na katere vplivajo klasična glasba, tango in jazz improvizacija, ljudske melodije in nova glasba.V skladbah predelava osebne izkušnje v umirjenih trenutkih, ki jih razbijejo ritmični elementi. Ritmična raznolikost in raziskovanje novih zvokov s klasičnimi inštrumenti sta pomemben del najinih skladb. Vsaka skladba je na svoj način edinstvena in posebna v svoji strukturi in poteka vedno v tekočem glasbenem dialogu.
"DUO SONOMA I" is our first CD and online production in which we sisters, Mira and Sara Gregorič, as the Duo Sonoma formation, have recorded our own compositions. We have been making music together since we were little and we have the existing repertoire for this formation no longer corresponded to our personality, we felt the urge to compose suitable music material for us. Our special musical approach was well received by the audience and the growing demand for a recording motivated us to tackle this project. We are always open to new things and our enthusiasm is reflected in different styles, which often refer to the folk songs from Carinthia and tie in with our roots as Carinthian Slovenes and address them.
Our music is a combination of different musical genres, influenced by classical, tango and jazz improvisation, folk melodies and new music. Characterized by personal experiences, our compositions feel calm moments that are broken up by rhythmic elements. Rhythmic diversity and the exploration of new sounds with classical instruments are an important part of our compositions. Each piece is unique in its own way and unmistakable in its structure and is in a flowing musical dialogue.
